It is fun and rewarding to Volunteer!

Serve the Unity Community and make friends.  Here are brief descriptions of the volunteer opportunities. We are just asking for a once-a-month commitment.

Reception area setup

           Make Coffee

Setup Hot water, tea and coffee condiments.

Setup plate and utensils area

Setup Literature area

In-person Sunday Greeter

Arrive at 9:30 for the 10:00 service

Setup Greeter and name badge areas

Greet people with a hug or handshake and give them a Sunday bulletin.

Read an inspirational message

Select and read, a spiritual message (2-3 minutes max) This can be on Zoom or before the congregation, in-person.

Read the Daily Word

Read the Daily Word for that Sunday. This can be on Zoom or before the congregation, in-person.

Cleanup

Coffee pot cleanup

Put everything away everything and clean the area including vacuuming

          Take out the trash

Prayer Chaplain

Praying with others and supporting the prayer needs of members. Completing the Prayer Chaplain training and “being” a Prayer Chaplain is transformational soul work.  Be willing to deepen your spiritual path through prayer and service

Zoom Online Host at home

Allow people in, from the waiting room, and greet them as they join on Zoom

Facilitate chit-chat among Zoom participants before service starts.

Assist with Miracles and Milestones sharing at the end of the service

Zoom Host at the Victorian 

Arrive at 9:00 am to setup up computer and Zoom connection

Bring up meditation, Power Point, etc. at the appropriate times during service

Process recording and put away the equipment

Zoom Co-Host at the Victorian 

Arrive at 9:00 am to setup up sound system and camera

Assist with sound and camera during service

Volunteer coordinator

Emailing the people on the volunteer list and getting them commit to a date and then update the master schedule. Sending a reminder email.  Finding a substitute if someone can't make it.
